CRIMPS
A new feature film from 2001 Productions.

CRIMPS is a supernatural thriller/horror film, though not of the blood-and-guts variety.  It's the story of Eddie Hooper, who travels from Miami to a small Oregon town in search of his missing brother.  As it turns out, many other young men have also vanished from the town under mysterious circumstances.  Rumors abound regarding Veronica Chandler, a beautiful recluse who may or may not be involved in the disappearances.  Eddie dedicates himself to learning the truth, in the course of which he develops a dangerous fascination with Veronica.  As he delves deeper and deeper into the mystery, he begins to realize that he may very well be the next victim.

CRIMPS is set in and was shot primarily around Astoria, Oregon. The film weaves its suspense-charged tale through the rich history and folklore of the region, availing itself of such intriguing locales as the Columbia River waterfront, vintage architecture, hidden tunnels and “shanghai doors”. The intent of the filmmakers is to acknowledge the expectations of the horror movie audience, while presenting a unique twist on the standard trappings of the genre.
