Hollie Olson, who plays Ida in Crimps, began her entertainment career
as a songwriter, keyboard player and lead singer. During her years
working full time in the music business she performed in music videos and did
some modeling. Her passion for acting started as a young woman in classes at a
local community college where she was cast in theatrical plays. In recent years
the acting bug took hold once again and she found herself landing roles in local
film productions. Her acting roles have included the leads in independent films such as The Innocent (2011), Heirs (2008), Sacrifices of Hate and Knock Knock (both 2007), as well as numerous short films. She wrote and directed the short films A Perfect Match, The Grade, and The Salon, and the upcoming feature Gabby's Wish. Along with her work as an actress she is a published writer and is currently promoting her full-length memoir: I'm Not a Groupie, I'm IN the Band! The Real-Life Adventures of a Female Musician, a humorous take on her career in music.
