Hollie Olson, who plays Ida in Crimps, began her entertainment career
as a songwriter, keyboard player and lead singer. Intertwined through her years
working full time in the music business she performed in music videos and did
some modeling. Her passion for acting started as a young woman in classes at a
local community college where she was cast in theatrical plays. In recent years
the acting bug took hold once again and she found herself landing roles in local
film productions. Along with her work as an actress she has been a published
writer and is currently promoting her full length memoir: “I’m Not a Groupie, I’m IN the Band! The
Real Life Adventures of a Female Musician.” a humorous take on her career in
music. Her acting roles have included the leads in independent films such as Sacrifices of Hate (2007), Knock Knock (2007) Heirs (2008) All Roads Lead Home (2009) among many
others. She is currently filming the feature The Tunnel (2009) where she has a
principal role. She wrote and directed her first short film, A Perfect Match, which has finished post
production and will be premiering in April at the PDX Film
Showcase. Hollie keeps busy in the Northwest film industry as well as broadcast
commercial work where her most recent, a lead for the Lacamas Community Credit
Union is airing now.
